Sandra lives in Meadville, which is located approximately 30 miles south of Erie Pennsylvania. She is a retired Language Arts teacher with a dream of becoming a popular author of children’s books. She draws on her thirty years experience as an educator, her day to day interaction with her grandchildren and the antics of three adorable, but goofy, Irish setters for inspiration. The characters in her book face realistic, often humorous, situations providing opportunities for discussion of choices, decisions and real life. She believes picture books,and being read to, develop a love of reading that follows a child throughout their lives Her hope is that her characters promote compassion, understanding and acceptance by their actions and experiences in their storybook world.
